A useful protocol starts with the right question.
Separate a professional trial design from approved product-label instructions. Record the context that makes a comparison meaningful.
The supplied document is a test protocol. It is not a universal product label, permission to reduce fertilizer, or a recommendation for every crop and growing system.
Compare the programme, not just the product.
The protocol describes two applications totaling 2 L/ha of each product in a selected microbial pair: 1 L/ha/product at seed treatment or post-sowing, followed by 1 L/ha/product after two weeks. This is 4 L/ha combined for the pair over the test cycle.
The proposed comparisons include the farm’s full conventional fertilizer programme and a separate programme reduced by 25%, each assessed with and without the relevant microbial pair.
The testing scheme uses 1–2 ha of a common crop with a control plot. Final design, replication, practical rates and analysis must be adapted by the responsible agronomist.
Six treatment arms to distinguish the effects.
| Trial arm | Conventional fertilizer background | Additional treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Control 1 | 100% farm programme | None |
| Control 2 | 75% farm programme | None |
| Test 1 | 100% farm programme | Azotovit® + Phosphatovit® |
| Test 2 | 75% farm programme | Azotovit® + Phosphatovit® |
| Test 3 | 100% farm programme | NitroPro® + PhosActive+® |
| Test 4 | 75% farm programme | NitroPro® + PhosActive+® |
Randomize treatment placement within independent blocks where feasible. Taking several samples within one plot does not create independent treatment replications. The source’s three-program illustration is not the complete six-arm design above.
Carrier water in the supplied protocol
- Field crops
- 200–300 L/ha
- Seed treatment
- 10 L/t
- Orchards
- 800–2,000 L/ha
Carrier volume is not product dose. Seed-treatment volume per tonne cannot be converted to a hectare without the actual seed rate.
Record what makes the trial interpretable
Label the plots and retain crop, variety, sowing date, soil and irrigation context, background inputs, formulation, dose, water volume, application date, harvest method and measurement basis.
Measure both the physical result and the complete incremental cost. Report neutral and negative outcomes as well as gains.
Important differences in the supplied demonstrations.
- The grape table shows 2,480 and 4,206 kg/ha, which is inconsistent with its printed +47.8%. The figure is excluded from calculator presets until reconciled.
- The almond deshelling comparison changes from 31.3% to 34.4%: a difference of 3.1 percentage points.
- The blueberry detail lists two applications while a summary describes one.
- The almond recipe implies about 10 L/ha of each product; the grape recipe implies about 2.6 L/ha each. These are not automatically the generic 2 L/ha programme.
- The three Russian maize treatment schemes share a control and use specified nitrogen-carrier backgrounds. They are not three independent regional replications.
- The public FAQ and supplied protocol disagree on the lower storage temperature. Use the current approved label and resolve the discrepancy before application or shipping.
